The initial hand-line stretch defines an engine company and can make or break a fire scene. Stretching for Rescue focuses on Engine Company Basics that support search and rescue operations. This class breaks down common stretching habits, emphasizing clean stretches, effective line placement, and coordination between engine and search crews in building fires.

Biography:

Tyler Smith is a 20-year veteran of the fire service, currently riding the backstep of Aurora Fire Rescue’s Engine 2. He is an adjunct instructor at the Fire Department Training Network and the President of Mile High Fire Training.
