Course Description:

This class is designed for firefighters engaged in fire suppression disciplines and
focuses on engine company fundamentals. The curriculum emphasizes the full attack package—pump, hose, and nozzle—and the importance of operating at engineered pressures. The ultimate goal: to instill an aggressive fire attack mentality and shift the student’s focus to fighting the fire, not the hose line.
This course blends theory with practical application, using the “explain–demonstrate–perform” model to ensure retention and skill development. By the end of the training, participants will have a clear understanding—and physical feel—of a truly dialed-in engine company operation.
